April 2-6 & 9-13: Seattle Restaurant Week at Queen Anne Restaurants

Five Queen Anne restaurants are participating in this season’s Seattle Restaurant Week, with three courses for $32: Grappa, Peso’s Kitchen & Lounge, Ten Mercer, The Melting Pot, and Toulouse Petit.
April 2: Scandinavian Pancake Breakfast
8am – 1pm | Swedish Club NW
The Swedish Club NW’s monthly pancake breakfast is an authentic Swedish pancake breakfast complete with ham, lingonberries and all of the fixings. This month, it will take place on APril 2nd, with dancing and live music by Tre Kronor, Spelmanslag and Smilin’ Scandinavians. The price is $9 for adults, $7 for club members and $5 for children ages 5-12.
April 7: ABBA Night at the Swedish Club NW
6pm – 12am | Swedish Club NW
The annual ABBA Night at the Swedish Club NW is currently sold out, but there’s a waiting list if you really, really want to go! It’s the 5th annual ABBA Night that the Club has hosted, with food, ABBA music, and dancing. Call the Swedish Club NW at 206-283-1090 for a spot on the waiting list.
April 12: Drop Everything And Read
All Day | Seattle Children’s Museum
The Seattle Children’s Museum is hosting D.E.A.R. (Drop Everything And Read) on Wednesday, April 12th! Guest authors will be visiting the museum throughout the day to share stories.
April 15 & 16: Spring Egg Hunts
8:30am – 10am | Seattle Children’s Museum
Visit the Seattle Children’s Museum on April 15th and 16th for kids egg hunts. There will be thousands of eggs hidden throughout the museum; kids find the empty (to avoid choking hazards) Eco Eggs, then turn them in for a small prize bag containing candy and other items. The cost is $5 per person for members, $8 for non-members.
April 16: Whirligig! Closes at Seattle Center
11am – 6pm | Seattle Center Armory
Through April 16th, Whirligig! transforms the Seattle Center Armory into a lively hub of entertainment and fun for kids ages 12 and under. There will be balloon artists, caricaturists, face painters, Student Showcases, and plenty more free or affordable activities for the kiddos. The Toddler Zone offers fun for your littlest ones! The cost is $8 per all day main floor pass, $4.50 for an all day Toddler Zone pass, or $1.50 for a single ride ticket. Thursdays are free!
April 21: We Day at Key Arena
8am – 6pm | Key Arena
We Day is an unparalleled event that brings together world-renowned speakers, A-list performers, and tens of thousands of youth to celebrate a year of action that transformed communities and changed lives. The Seattle event will take place on Friday, April 21st at Key Arena. Taking the stage this year is a cast of new faces and returning WE Day favorites, including Russell Wilson, Pete Carroll and Doug Baldwin of the Seattle Seahawks, Lily Collins, Allen Stone, Grace VanderWaal, Buzz Aldrin, Jordan Fisher, Skai Jackson, Yara Shahidi, Jenna Ortega, Jordan Smith and more.
April 21-23: Seattle Cherry Blossom & Japanese Cultural Festival

Seattle Center’s Festál continues in April with the Seattle Cherry Blossom & Japanese Cultural Festival April 21st through 23rd. This free, enriching experience provides the opportunity to experience the vibrant Japanese culture. There will be educational programs, arts & crafts, traditional dance and music, games, ceremonies, Taiko drumming, martial arts and more.
