All December: Winterfest
10am – 6pm | Seattle Center
Experience the annual Winterfest events at Seattle Center all month long! There’s a beautiful winter train and village to enjoy daily from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., and an ice skating rink that is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. until 10 p.m. Additionally, there will be ice sculpting every Saturday from 12 noon until 2 p.m. and Dickens Carolers on Sundays from 2 – 3 p.m.
All December: The Nutcracker
10am – 6pm | McCaw Hall
Don’t miss this holiday tradition! George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® is now playing at McCaw Hall. Performances are at varying times on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays each week through December 28th
December 2 – 3: Urban Craft Uprising
10am – 5pm | Seattle Center Exhibition Hall
Make a dent in your holiday shopping and browse handmade goods at the Seattle Center’s Urban Craft Uprising. There will be more than 150 vendors, selling everything from clothes, jewelry, accessories, housewares, art, paper goods and more! This event is free to attend, and the first 100 attendees will receive a free swag bag.
December 3: Scandinavian Pancake Breakfast
8am – 1pm | Swedish Club NW
The Swedish Club NW’s monthly pancake breakfast features an authentic Swedish pancake breakfast complete with ham, lingonberries and all of the fixings. This month, it will take place on December 3rd, with live music by Skandia Kapell, Spelmanslag and Nordleik. The price is $9 for adults, $7 for club members and $5 for children ages 5-12.
December 5: 107.7 The End’s Deck the Hall Ball
3pm | KeyArena
The annual Deck the Hall Ball from 107.7 The End returns on December 5th with a lineup that includes Odesza, Portugal. The Man, Joywave, The Killers, J Grgry, The Lumineers, J Roddy Walston and the Business, and so much more!
December 10: Luciafest
3pm – 5pm | Swedish Club NW
The patron of this time of year for Swedes is Saint Lucia, and she and the season will be celebrated at the Swedish Club NW with Luciafest! On December 10th, enjoy tasty baked goods fiddle music, and dancing around the tree. The price is $5 for adults and $3 for children 12 and younger.
December 18 – 29: Winter Camps
9am – 4pm | Seattle Children’s Museum
Kids ages 4 – 10 can now register for the Winter Camps at Seattle Children’s Museum. Each day will have a designated theme that’s matched with fun activities as well as educational programs. Register for a half day, full day or full week!
