Queen Anne Events: Things to Do in July

Get outside and enjoy beautiful Pacific Northwest weather with some of these exciting and fun Queen Anne events coming up in July…

July 4: Fourth of July at the Swedish Club NW
6:30pm – 10pm | Swedish Club NW
With sweeping views of Lake Union, the Swedish Club NW is a prime spot to watch the Fourth of July fireworks celebration on July 4th! The Club will offer a tasty barbecue dinner by Smokin’ Pete’s BBQ, plus a live performance from the Honky Tonkers with square dancing and lessons. Free parking is available starting at 5:30 p.m. for the first 100 cars, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. Call 206-283-1090 or email the club to RSVP. The cost is $41 for members, $46 for non-members, and $23 per child.

July 9: Craig Wilson Queen Anne Days & Crown of Queen Anne Fun Run/Walk
All Day | West Queen Anne Playfield
It’s the annual neighborhood event that we always look forward to! The Queen Anne Days festival is being renamed in honor of the late Craig Wilson, a pillar of our community. Join in the Crown of Queen Anne fun run/walk on July 9th at 8 a.m., participate in the dog & kiddie parade at 11 a.m., and enjoy all day festivities in the Queen Anne Days festival until 8 p.m. There will be fun for the whole family, including live music, an art walk, car show, wine/beer/cider garden, food trucks, carnival games and activities, and so much more.

July 9: Seattle Polish Festival
11am – 7pm | Seattle Center Armory & Mural Amphitheatre
Get up close and personal with Polish culture in the Seattle Polish Festival! On July 9th, enjoy Polish food, entertainment, handcrafted art and gifts, exhibits, workshops, kids activities and more.

July 15-17: Bite of Seattle
All Day | Seattle Center
The annual Groupon Bite of Seattle is coming up for the weekend of July 15th through 17th! Enjoy tasty bites and beverages from local chefs, restaurants and connoisseurs, The Bite Cooks! Chef competitions, Free Bite Movie Night, craft beer and cider tastings, live entertainment, and more.

July 17: Lunch with Joe McDermott
12pm – 1:30pm  | First United Methodist Church
In a free, public event, you can meet King County Council Chair Joe McDermott as he seeks a seat in Congress. A luncheon will be held at the First United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall on Sunday, July 17th from noon until 1:30 p.m.

July 28: Queen Anne Play Street
3pm – 6pm  | 1st Ave W between Crockett & Howe Streets
On Thursday, July 28th, Queen Anne Greenways is blocking off 1st Avenue West between Crockett and Howe Streets for a free, safe play street for kiddos to enjoy during the weekly Queen Anne Farmers Market. There will be plenty of games and activities for kids of all ages.

July 30: Movies at the Mural
9pm – 11pm  | Seattle Center Mural Amphitheatre
Enjoy free outdoor movies each week at the Seattle Center’s Mural Amphitheatre in the summer Movies at the Mural series! On July 30th, the featured presentation is “The Princess Bride”, in a quote-along version. The show starts at 9 p.m.
