Queen Anne Events: Things to Do in November

Get ready for the holidays with these fun Queen Anne events in November!

November 5: Queen Anne Artists’ Trunk Show
11am – 4pm | Queen Anne Community Center
Meet the artists behind some of your favorite local products and goods, and shop early for the holidays at the annual Queen Anne Artists Trunk Show on November 5th, from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. There will be local handcrafted goods, music, baked goods, art activities, face painting and a magic show!

November 5: Short Run Comix & Arts Festival
11am – 6pm | Fisher Pavilion
The 6th Annual Short Run Comix & Arts Festival is on Saturday, November 5th. More than 270 artists worldwide will attend to showcase their comics, graphic novels, screenprints and more! This year, the festival will also feature a form of graphic novel known as a Shapereader, which is designed for readers with impaired vision.

November 5: Hmong New Year
11am – 6pm | Seattle Center Armory
The Seattle Center’s Festál celebrations through the year are celebrated this month with the Hmong New Year Celebration! On Saturday, November 5th, head to the main floor of the Seattle Center’s Armory to explore the culture of the Hmong people, who come from the hilltops of China, Laos and Thailand. There will be live performances, hands-on activities, games, food and a marketplace of traditional Hmong goods.

November 5 & 6: Scandinavian Holiday Bazaar
9am – 3pm | Swedish Club NW
Get your holiday shopping done early at the Scandinavian Holiday Bazaar on November 5th and 6th. Dozens of vendors will be selling handmade or Nordic gifts, with two floors of crafts, gifts, and more. On Saturday, dine on Smörgås, pea soup, waffles and meatballs, and enjoy their monthly Pancake Breakfast (see below for details) on Sunday.

November 6: Swedish Pancake Breakfast
8am – 1pm | Swedish Club NW
Visit the Swedish Club NW on Sunday, November 6th for their monthly pancake breakfast! It’s an authentic Swedish pancake breakfast complete with ham, lingonberries and all of the fixings. There will be dancing and live music. The price is $9 for adults, $7 for club members and $5 for children ages 5-12.

November 9: Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood Live
3pm & 6:30pm | McCaw Hall
The beloved “Mister Roger’s Neighborhood” lives on with Daniel Tiger’s Neighborhood, a Fred Rogers Company production on PBS Kids. Daniel and his friends are coming live to Seattle on November 9th, with a musical adventure for the whole family to enjoy! Tickets are $18.50 – $47/person.

November 11: Stevie Nicks at Key Arena
7pm – 10pm | Key Arena
Stevie Nicks comes to Seattle on November 11th as part of The 24 Karat Gold Tour produced by Live Nation, featuring The Pretenders.

November 25: Winterfest Train & Village Opens at Seattle Center
10am – 6pm daily | Seattle Center Armory
The annual Winterfest Train & Village open on November 25th in the Armory’s South Court, as a free holiday attraction for all ages. There’s an enchanting turn-of-the-century village and a train that you can take turns ‘conducting’ between 10:30 a.m. – 12 noon, 1 – 2:30 p.m., and 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. daily with a $2 suggested donation. The village is open daily from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. through December 31st.
