Ten Year Anniversay of Queen Anne Shooting Sparks New Campaign

Ten years ago, Thomas Wales, a federal prosecutor from Seattle was shot in Queen Anne, a murder mystery that has yet to be solved.  On October 11 in 2001, a shooter fired through a window at Wales, killing him.  In recognizing the 10 year anniversary, the FBI is beginning a new media campaign to inform the public and ask for their assistance in finding Wale’s killer.  The FBI is prepared to advertise and broadcast about the investigation and is offering a $1 million reward for new information.  A news conference regarding the case was held yesterday at the Federal Courthouse in Seattle.  The U.S. Attorney General and Seattle Police officials were in attendance as well as Wale’s daughter.  For more information, please see the full Seattle Times article or visit the new page dedicated to the case on the FBI website.
